Giorgio de Chirico was born in 1888, he was an Italian artist and writer. In the years before the First World War, he founded the metaphysical art movement school, which profoundly influenced the surrealists. After 1919, he became interested in traditional painting techniques and worked in a neoclassical or neo-baroque style, often reviewing the metaphysical themes of his previous works.
