Bergamo, 1976

Simona Snider, born in 1976, is an Italian artist who develops her artistic research in the studio located in the Upper Town of Bergamo. Her passion for painting characterized her educational path, which began at art high school and continued through apprenticeships with various masters. She has expanded his skills with specialization courses ranging from gilding techniques and baroque ornamental decoration to photography. The in-depth study of color perception and the theories of Newton, Chevreul, Itten and Kueppers further enriched his education. Simona Snider’s work focuses on the energy radiated by the visible light spectrum and the wavelength of perceived changing colors. Through abstraction, the artist explores the dynamic evolution of color ribbons in lyrical space, releasing the energy that moves instincts and triggers emotions. Her work invites us to reflect on the importance of recovering inner balance through the spiritual harmony infused by the use of color, thus reconnecting with the nature of ourselves and the world.

Since 1996, Simona Snider’s works have been exhibited in Italy and abroad. The most recent exhibitions include:

Italian Vanity Art Exhibition at the International Studio of Art & Galleries in Dubai and Imago Ars in Venice in 2021;
Galleria I Leone in Rome with the contemporary art exhibition “Don’t need words” and the Pro Biennale di Venezia in 2022;
“Women in Light” event in the historic complex of the Pio Sodalizio dei Piceni in Rome in March 2023;
X Monte Carlo International Art Biennial in June 2023;
the “Perscrutazioni” exhibition at the Spazio BIG Gallery in Verbania, followed by the solo exhibition “Percorsi” in the same gallery in January 2024:
“Author’s apiary” in Ales, in the province of Oristano in April 2024
